A Message from Jill

Today at 9am, my dad started his 2,200 mile journey on the Appalachian Trail. He will hike from Georgia to Maine, it will take him roughly 6 months. This has been a dream of his for over 20 years! He is an inspiration! Follow your dreams!

  1. Hi Dad! Glad you are "OK on the Trail". We look forward to those daily updates! I'm sure as the days go by, we'll be less and less anxious about how you're doing. Hopefully you're not totally soaked!! All is well here! We love you!

  2. Lower Back Pain can be minimized by bent knee sit-ups. At least it works for me.

  3. Whoa. At this rate you'll be in Connecticut in April. Have you seen any trees along the way?

  4. Hi Roger, I'm learning geography from your GPS. You are moving right along I see! We all wish you well. Ken and Tom said they would walk the trail when they are 60 and 61, but would stop at every Irish Pub from Texas to Connecticut, and try to drink at least 15 pints a day.

  5. Hope all is as you anticipated so far. You're amazing. When you make it to VT maybe Fred and I will join you for a day -- maybe! It's interesting to think about when it's so far off (ha ha). Sending love and hugs. Marian and Fred

  7. Hey Rog-
I just read your latest post. Sounds like your having a great time rain and all. I'm not sure taking Logan in your pack was the best plan. What? Oh April fools, I get it.
Seriously, I think its great that your following your muse. Be well. The sun will shine, if not tomorrow, soon enough.
