THEY DID IT!

Just got word from my mom (Jane), that Dad (Trolley Stop) and Double Check have finished the trail!  What an accomplishment for both of them!  Well done!

  2. From Joe, Peg and Lilly Rose: CONGRATS! Now when I play "Climb Every Mountain" I will have a story to go with it. WOW! Awesome! You made your dream come true! We cannot wait to see you in person. It inspires me to climb the stairs to our attic more often - - -maybe not. It is so much fun to see all the pictures from our couch. XOXOXO.

  5. Congratulations! It has been wonderful travelling the AT with you, seeing the sights and meeting your fellow hikers virtually. Because of this blog, we can feel sad about the death of Buffalo Bobby, a man we never met but who we knew all the same. To his family, our deepest condolences. To Trolley Stop, our loudest "hoorahs!"

  8. And now for the Tattoo! Hip Hip Hurray!
To be honest, I felt like I did not know much about you before this journey and since you have started the trail and shared your blog I feel we have grown closer.
I am so very proud of you and I am looking forward to the "wrap up" summary post.

  9. Roger, We are the family that had trail magic at Watauga Lake for you guys back in early May. What a treat that was for all of us to meet all of you! I have followed your journey most of the way. What a hike it was and what a way to have it end. Thanks for sharing that day at the lake with us and your journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Buffalo Bobby's family. Be safe, happy and healthy and stop by for lunch next time you are walking by that Watauga Lake picnic area in early May!!
